A life affirming tale of cheese rolling

I love the Maccabees. And I love cheese. So for me, this video is perfect. Who knew that running after cheese could be so emotive?

tasty tweets

I had dinner at the Albion the other night. The veggi menu options were frankly average – but the amazing cupcakes made up for it.

Thankfully, you can see exactly when a fresh batch has been taken out the oven, by following @albionsoven. A little gadget in their kitchen allows the baker to turn a dial, press a button, et viola. – tweet sent.

Kudos to poke for creating a arduino based kitchen friendly gadget, that builds the relationship between their client and the peckish users.

Got the munchies?

We had our first munchies breakfast this morning, with a little group of folk from harvest. The brief was simple, just chat about our creative ideas and eat some grub.

We did both.

This week conversation focused mostly on oyster cards and oyster card holders. Why are they so ugly? How come you only ever see ikea ads on them? Why do they fall apart? Why wont TFL let us hack them?

I also showed off my knitted oyster card holder i just finished. Plus, I’ve got a breakfast challenge planned for next week…

cakes and gardens

On monday 30th of june, Harvest Digital will be holding its first ever bake sale.
As we’ve just moved in round the corner, we thought it would be nice to raise money for the Phoenix Garden.
Its a good place with birds, bees and people in perfect harmony – and that hardly ever happens.

UPDATE:
It all went very well, and it turns out new media types are very good at baking!
All flickred to death here.
